The Find My iPhone app on your iPhone was recently rebranded as Find My from the iOS 13 update and while the app was before used to find your friend’s location when they have an iPhone and are sharing their location with you, with the new app, you can also find your own Apple devices including your iPhone, even when it is offline or switched off.
According to Apple, the offline location support in the new Find my app on iOS 13 installed devices will help you to locate your missing iPhone even when it is offline using a crowdsourced location feature. This means if you mark your device as missing using the Find my app, and if another Apple device is near your missing device, it will detect your iPhone’s Bluetooth signal and report its current location to you.
Before you can use the Find my feature on your iPhone to track your device when it is lost, it is important that you enable a few settings on your device to help you to easily find it’s location, play a sound to find it, or even remotely erase all your data. Follow the below steps to set up Find my on your iPhone and to use it to find your lost phone even when it is not connected to the internet or is switched off.

You can also use the ‘Play sound’ option to play a beeping noise on your iPhone if you think you are near its location to easily find it.
